The impact of 1,2 million cards: PetBase goes digital

PetBase has decided not to issue bioplastic badges for its 1,2 million registrations due to their significant environmental impact. Bioplastic production generates 16.800 kilograms of CO₂ emissions, 6.000 kilograms of waste, and requires large amounts of agricultural land and natural resources. Moreover, bioplastics are often not fully biodegradable, and the waste problem persists. Therefore, PetBase is opting for sustainable digital solutions that have a lower environmental impact and contribute to a greener future.
